My answer is of the rests I have tried I prefer the biscuit. I have a fuse branded one, it's a little easier on the eyes.
Never had any noise. I am not concerned about speed, as if there were any appreciable difference. 100% containment. It never moves unless I do. No tuning necessary, I don't need to worry about when it drops.

      Form needs to be good.
The best things about the WB are, it is simple, keeps the arrow on the rest, and shoots a good arrow.
      Other than that, it's junk.
If your using a RamCat broadhead the rest doesn't matter!

I knew Richard would be all over this! When you go in hiding we can always bring you back with the Biscuit and gravy!

Normally, I'd be in bed by now, but a good Biscuit thread will keep me up.

Wouldn't die hard 3D shooters admit they have a tourney bow setup and a different hunting setup? You might not see WB on a "serious" 3D bow, but I would imagine there would be other differences too. I bet you don't see a 3D bow with a hog light on it either.

BTW, do you check out folks peep sight and chuckle if it did not cost more than the rest? I would think peep sight plays more to accuracy (to use your riflescope analogy) than the rest.

I went to ONE 3 d tournament with my compound.
I had a WB on my bow, some " awesome " shooter thought it was a great time to continually tell me how juvanile my WB was until we tallied the scores.
Apparently getting your arse whooped by an old guy shooting through a WB ain't all that cool.
This is HILARIOUS. Great thread. From what I'm gathering, it seems to be an issue of perception rather than performance. If it ain't broke. Shoot, I'll fish Zebco rods all day if it means I'm landing big fish. Same with shooting WBs.

I switched from a WB to a ripcord because I had a axis doe 18 yards away Quartering away , never knew I was there until I drew back and she heard the sssssssssss coming from the WB.
Ever since then I have always loved my rip cord without 1 complaint !!
                  No fletching contact etx..
Plus lifetime warranty, in my opinion a great product/warranty!!!

the whisker biscuit is still the best selling rest because it works.... for those he think its loud, they need to do a little homework,, the biscuit makes no noise,, some arrows do but not all of them,,, accuracy is at the worst equal to a fallaway,, people want to blame the biscuit because there form is terrible and they can not properly handle and shoot a bow,, a good shot is a good shot,, mechaincal rests are a band aid for bad form, with bad form those flaws really do show with a biscuit,,
i have shot most every style of rest on the market,, most of them work pretty well, but the number one rest for problems is the cheaper version of the qad,,,
biscuits will never ever go out of time,, fall away rests will go out of time, it might take a while and it might be because the strings and cables stretch,,, but it does happen to all of them given enough time....
the majority of the fall aways are good , the biscuit is good,,, use what ever you prefer,, but for hunting, dependability is vital,, give a me a biscuit and i wont have to worry about it not working,,, it will shoot as acurrately as i can, and probably better....
many call it a begginers rest,, but as someone else already stated,,, its closer to being a pro's rest than a begginer,, pros dont use band aids, they fix the problem, if that problem is form,, they will use what ever rest gives them the best chance

Anybody ever put some felt at the bottom of the biscuit? Or did I just come up with something? I mean if the fletching didn't touch the felt? If not felt some smooth bristles or such. A biscuit with butter on it...
