    Tire Experts

My tires are BALD 'er than me!

What, where, why? oh and how much?

In your experience with tires is it worth it to go with a higher priced tire based on estimated miles rating?

What brands have worked for you or not?

These will be 275/55/20 for a Toyota Tundra.

    thanks for your input.

Just go with a name brand. Michelin. Firestone. Cooper. Yokohama. Hankook Toyo. To name a few. Do not buy wal mart or pep boys etc.

People think they are buying a high quality GDY tire from wal Mart. GDY viva only sold there. Pure junk.

Your gonna get opinions all over the map. I have run them all and the best consistant mileage I have gotten out of truck tires have been the Nitto Terra Grapplers. They are not a mud tire but I have had no compliants. The Michelin LTX is consistently a good mileage tire.

That being said, I have quit running the name brand tires and use the generic versions. Multi-Mile is a Cooper Tire and you will read good things about them also.

hankook dyna pro mt's is what i put on my pick up yesterday. 10 ply Load range E got the set for 850 mounted and balanced. been happy with them, i get about 40k on them but i haul a 3 horse aluminum trailer with living quaters so i dont haul light and they still hold up. best agresssive tire ive put on. if your wanting to get mileage i would defintely go with like a michelin XPS RIB or LTX/ms. both are dang good tires

I have had the exact opposite with these, not saying they didnt work for him but my NTG's are bald after 25K miles, in which i just had to replace one because it developed a knot in middle, felt like I was driving on square tires. And in my opionion these werent cheap $ but cheap built. Never again..

Looks like i will be going back to BFG AT's when funds are available...I have had good luck and wear with them in past.
