    brightest longest headlights

had a bulb go out....need to replace the headlights on the truck.
I want the brightest longest widest beam there is...if that means those annoying blue lights...then so be it...
what say the green screen? what should i be looking at getting

Just keep in mind that bulb life decreases dramatically the brighter you go. The HID may not be so bad but I have never messed with those.

I just like to see...and the last silverstars I bought didn't impress on me any better than stock...
I'm looking at HID's but have no idea which ones are good/bad/ugly, etc... but I'll get them if they produce the most light... and if annoying the people in cars in front of me is an option..well..bonus

If you don't go HID, go Silverstar Ultra. I have been running them for years and they are much brighter than stock. You may have to adjust the fixture down a little so you aren't blinding other cars.

What vehicle are they going in?

I just replaced all of mine. Went out on Ebay and found higher wattage in my bulb model. Got all 4 for under $30.

low beam upped to 80 watt
high beam upped to 100 watt

Also have the relay on my truck so that when you flip your high beams on your low beams stay on as well has your fog lights. So I have 6 lights throwing beams when I hit my high beams.

Just saw your post. The regular silverstar are not as good as the Ultra.

Silverstar Ultra is brighter than stock. I replaced my stock bulbs two years ago and no problems yet.

Depending on what year you may also be able to up the fog lights. In my 05 2500HD Chevy, I have Silverstar Ultra high-beams in the fog lights. When I hit the brights and have all 6 lights on (high-low-fog), watch out. I only use my fog lights when I'm driving that truck on back-roads because they are so bright that they blind cars driving the opposite direction.

I'm just not in to the whole rice burner blue or purple color head lights. Just me. 4000 to 5000 Kelvin color are closest to white in HID. Higher number is not brighter, just a different color. The higher the color number, the less light you have to work with (see whats in front of you).

+1 for the Silverstar ULTRA bulbs. Been running them in my vehicles since high school.
