    Moultrie Game Cam

Does anyone have experience with the solar panels Moultrie sells to plug into the cameras? If so, how do they work? What is battery life?

Also, for anyone in the Houston area. I was killing time at the Walmart in Channelview before a meeting this week with Lyondell and came across the below model for $84. They are $98 at every other Walmart I have seen. I plan to pick one up before my trip to the lease next week. You can be out the door with camera, 1gb card, and batteries for $100! Pretty good deal for a good camera.

Have 2 of that camera, works great, goes just short of 2 months on one set of batteries. One of mine took 1900 pics, then took 750 pics before the batteries died. Has an external connection on right side to plug in solar panels or can wire straight into battery compartment. Well worth the money.

I have only had one of the Moultrie solar panels. It lasted about a year and died. I have the 100, 2.1, 200 and the I40. I40 is far and away the best camera of the bunch followed by the 200. I haven't had much luck with battery life and the cameras in general on the 100 and 2.1.

I would suggest youpay the extra for the I40 as well. The pictures are better, and the battery lifs is unbelievable.

I have 4 of the 200's. Took 1482 pics on rechargable battery. They are reliable and cheap to operate.

I had the cheapo Moultie and spent extra for the solar panel and all I got was frustration and not many pics for two years. I sucked it up, bought the I40 and put it in at Christmas. I've dumped the card twice with 2,000 pics each time and still at 70% battery life - 5 D cells. I'll be there in a month to turkey hunt and will replace bats then. WELL worth the money.
