    Boat trailer question

Just bought a 2004 Sea Hunt Triton 232 with a new McClain trailer. The two outside bunk boards which are turned up on their edge are supporting all the weight of the boat. The two boards that are in the middle are laid flat and not touching the boat. Is this normal?

All boards should be providing support. Got close up pics?

      congrats on the sweet purchase!
I would expect the middle boards are suporting loads back toward the rear and are only off at the front. If that is not the case, you should consider moving them up.
looks like they should be where they are to help guide the bow in. cant see enough detail to say anything else.

Do not have close up pics. The middle two boards are not touching at all. One of the guys at the place I bought it from told me the two middle boards are for loading the boat only and not for support. I think he may be full of that smelly brown stuff.

No, the guy that sold you the boat is telling you the truth.

The boards on edge are likely underneath the stringers of the hull, which is the strongest point. That is where the support should be supplied.

          Nice boat by the way.
