Boy Scouts - Arrow of Light

Someone posted a month or so ago about his son going through the Arrow of Light ceremony.
Tonight is our group's Blue and Gold banquet. Several boys will receive the Arrow of Light as they pass from Cub Scouts into Boy Scouts.

My son, Frank, will receive the Arrow of Light tonight. He is really proud of all the badges, beltloops and patches he has earned in the last couple of years and is super excited about tonight.

I'm proud of him for sticking with it and hope he will continue on. He really seems to like going to scout meetings and functions. We never have to "make" him go. He is always ready to go.

There will be a Pot Luck supper at the banquet tonight and I'm making the world famous
    ArrowPilot Taco Soup!

I will update this thread this evening with some pictures. Thanks for reading.

Congrats to him Frank! Our son's is tonight as well, but he still has a few years to go.

Kids really only quit when their parents lack interest. I commend you for being there. I was an assistant scout master for Troop 60 and Dads were terrible about showing up.

Congrats to your son. My parents recently brought down my memories boxes, and going through it last night, found my arrow of light. Fond memories.....

Congratulations to you and your son!
Start talking now with his troop to plan to go to Philmont.
My son and husband made the trek and both still say it was one of the best times of their lives. Son made Eagle at 15 and he's 27 now.

Well I lied. I didnt take a single picture.

Lots of other folks did though, and Amanda videoed the thing. It was a lot of fun!
