ALERT !!! To program a key takes all of 60 seconds.
Put the original key in turn on ignition with out starting, turn off and remove key, insert new key and turn on and wait about 15 seconds and it's programmed.
It's a real scam.

It's different for every car but you can get a key and program it yourself. A new key online is only something like $20, sometimes less.
