Today is my Friday and I couldn't be happier about that! What a week with a chaotic time at work, arranging archery courses, events and workshops, and then two back to back archery classes tonight. Ahhhh, yes - that was my therapy right there.
I have recently discovered how rewarding and enjoyable it is to teach a little more than just a beginner class. We can delve into personal preferences, watch their glee as they earn achievement awards, adjust their sights to get them honed in, replace their nocks, let them borrow my wax, tabs and hex wrenches. Shoot... tonight, I even let one young lass shoot my personal carbon arrows that I freshly fletched last night. She was pumped to use Ms. Lynda's arrows, lol!
The evening had started off with the beginner class where I showed the difference and parts of a compound and longbow. Of course they wanted a demo... x'd on the compound at 20 yards and got the outer 10 with the long bow at 15 yards. Even I was like
. That was a great start to a very enjoyable - tiring - but sooo enjoyable evening.
K, stick a fork in me. I'm done.
Archery makes me very happy.
