    Wiring for a trailer help

Need some help On the proper way to wire your car to pull trailers. So i went by U-haul to order hitch receiver mount

What i am talking about is you wire the vehicle to for the lights to work on the trailer and brake lights. where you plug the trailer wiring harness to yours.

I had a chevy truck and bought a adapter at part store that you just pluged into the wiring harness under the bed by the bumper and it wa done. May want to ask about something like that it was real simple no cutting splices just plug in and go.

    Hope this helps.

X2 I have a 96 GMC and just last week I had to haul a trailer and my wiring was shot so I ripped it all out and bought the plug and go setup. Worked great.

Don't know the make of your tow vehicle, but most have tee's available. Just unplug the factory wiring, plug in the tee-harness, maybe mount to the rear of vehicle (depending on the plug type)...and go.

Check local Oreilly's, Autzone, NAPA, for your vehicle.

Yup. Should have a plug near the bumper. Otherwise you can splice into the wires to your tail lights.

Make sure to ground it all real well. That is a problem with most lights

I bet they have a plug and go deal for that. Check your auto parst store. That way it all looks factory when your done.

I also told my wife it would take all day to do it and not to bother me because if one thing was wrong the truck would burn up. I took a long nap under the truck with out her bothering me. It was a great Saturday afternoon.
