Doesn't the mallet technique splatter blood everywhere? Is there a secret?

Upside down beer bottle works great. Punch with the mouth of the bottle.

That reply was about all I thought I could get away with. But seriously...if you sandwich the meat in saran, it keeps the mess down when you use a mallet.

Have the cuber attachment for my electric grinder. $200 from cabelas and $300 for the grinder. I love both of them four seasons of use and not showing any wear. I tenderize mine before I wrap and freeze it as part of the processing. Works great

                        Here's what I use--

Doesn't get the greatest reviews, but I've had zero problems with mine. I think the secret is to not start with steaks/slices over a half-inch thick. Sure turns venison into some mouth-watering chicken-fried steak.

Looks like we have an early leader in the clubhouse: the Cabela's Manual Meat Cuber.

                              Appreciate the input, all.
