Baffin Bay/Landcut

I haven't fished much farther south than bird island basin this year because I really haven't had much need too. I've found fish on the KRS and BIB pretty consistently. With that being said, anyone fished baffin or the landcut with any success lately? How's the water looking down there?

Can't help you out I usually don't start fishing south until mid April. I know POC it good right now

It's a grind but the big fish are biting. Typical spots. Waist deep, grass and mud.

3 of us made 7 wades on 2-9. first stop was tide gauge, alazan, badlands and near pure oil channel. fished our tails off !!! tops and corky's only. water a decent to nice. We had one huge blow up on a top and 2 hits on a corky between all 3 of us. boats were moving a lot and we didn't see one guy hooked up all day. its been very very tuff down there over the past several weeks. no freaking winter !!!! here is a pic of my buddy from this past sunday down there. 28"

BIB is magical this time of year, but everybody tends to run south. Tide gauge is usually good this time of year too. Can't beat Emmords or KR shoreline.

We did really well the other day wading the KRS across from the basin. Limits of trout (18-21) and a few reds. Every time I get the right weather conditions to go back it's in the middle of the week and I'm stuck at work.

Have not been out myself but very reliable reports from meadows and front of baffin. Yarborough(gutters) should have some fish and you'll be able to stay out if this dang wind.

pretty much hit and miss down there as far as trout go. There are some nice fish coming out of there, but it's slow and sporadic. water conditions still suck across a good part of Baffin.

Have a couple guide friends down there. Mostly what they been posting is black drum and hit or miss on the trout I wouldn't mind drum like this though
