    Inside Combat Rescue

Check it out tonight, I trained with these guys and work with them at times. Take a Navy SEAL and a Paramedic and you get a USAF Pararescueman. (my opinion). These guys are some of the most elite forces in the military. On another note, my brother if flying MEDEVAC right now in Afghan.. Much respect to these guys, I know you ground pounders out there loved knowning they would be there asap when needed. My background running convoys in Iraq and dealing with IEDs, I didn't trust my armor, I trusted these guys to come get us when the armor failed.

Preview, comes on tonight at 9

Agree, I think that was only the Indoc course. After that there is around 2 years of training to follow.

I would have to think that if i joined up and went to the military, i would want to do what these guys do. I really already have the most of the medical down, just would need the military.

Spent 9 months at Lackland Afb for Marine MP school. Watched ParaRescue train. Got nothing but respect for those guys. They got their S**t together.

got a coworker whose son is in Lackland right now and just got out of this program. He trained HEAVILY to get ready to sign up. I mean 8 hrs a day, swimming over a mile a day, doing all his prep with a 40-60# weight vest on, etc. They started his class with 120 people. about 3-4 weeks in they were down to maybe 30 and in the outdoor pool (december) doing "water confidence" training in INDOC when one of the instructors shoved a garden hose down his snorkel. of course he came up spitting and sputtering and was immediately told to dive to the bottom of the pool. told the instructor he couldnt catch his breath, and was immediately told to get out of the pool and turn in his gear. They told him the word "cant" cannot even enter your mind. Some serious guys for sure and some of the best in the world.
