Anyone near Kingwood got a live coon trap I can borrow?

I have a couple of coons that are weighing in at about 100 lbs. each. They are obviously recently unemployed and have been using their Lone Star cards at the Minchew Quick Stop (my garbage cans). They are able to knock over the cans, get the lids off (they are snapped on tight) and make my driveway look like a bunch of kids had a piñata party there.

I was working on a hasty ground blind so that I could finally get a kill with my recurve, when my lovely daughter informed me that she did not want want me to kill the coons "because they have a family". Since I could not come up with a witty reply within 2-3 seconds, she walked off.

Anyway, I need to borrow a welfare recipient relocation kit. PM me if you have one! Thanks.

My dad may still have a live one. I'll check.

Coon cuffs but you will have a fight on your hands to let them go.

I have access to some leg hold traps....but the noise from me getting my butt kicked by a big boar coon within the confines of a subdivision probably wouldn't go over well.

when I lived in the Heights in H town I got one from animal control. I used it until I caught the problem possum in my garage. Maybe Kingwood animal control has loaners?

If you go this route Please get video of you getting and relocating a ticked off monster coon caught in a snare because I cannot imagine it being very compliant or easy lol.

I say you bribe your daughter, buy her something nice so you can get some live practice in and we can get a live driveway hunt

I have a trap I might be able to send to Bownanza with an express. Or I could put it in a box and ship it. I can't imagine it would cost more that $15-20 to ship.

I come from a long line of coonhunters!

My dad showed up at his wedding with coon scratches all down his neck from having one jump out on him over the dogs. I'll have to give him a ninjy chop and a judy kick.

My son Josh said he can get one. He's working a lot right now and probably won't see him for a while. Was hoping someone was nearby. I appreciate the offer though.

Sounds like you're a little defensive. The lonestar card is in reference to free food and the pinata party (which I've been to and hosted several) is in reference to the trash. And you are absolutely right...thought I didn't intend to make the connection. We got four more years because of the increasing number of people getting free stuff and leaving their trash for others to pick up.

If you found something offensive...oh well. Get off my thread.
