How do y'all handle them in your area? In this area, south of houston the jails are to crowded as it is with American citizens who break the law. No where to put them. And deporting them is out of the question obviously.

Did mean to hyjack your thread. It just burns me up when law abiding citizens are treated like common criminals and others catch breaks because of red tape when they should not. It's not like it was expired for months. IMO he should have let you slide.

Deporting them is only the authority of the federal government. At this moment they will not even discuss deporting a person short of a felony charge.

That has nothing to do with issuing tickets (which is local), arresting them for tickets and if they don't pay them, having an arrest warrant issued and if they don't pay the fine, they sit it out in jail.

If they have no ID how do find them to arrest them?
I mean you would have to no where they stay to go hunt them down.
Issuing a ticket means nothing when they know no one will be able to find them. That's my point. And they know this.

The vehicles they drive, their photos (on our citations), by booking them in jail with no ID, etc. We have several traffic units with license plates readers that will flag a vehicle that had a driver that did not pay a citation.

They are surprising in telling the truth where they live as they have no fear of deportation. They openly say that they are illegal.

If they have no ID and get booked into the county jail, they match their fingerprints against the computer.

Read coming and going, take a photo of the (possible) violator and show direction. I think we have 6 units with readers on them.
