    Day In, Day Out!!!

Just wondering how many here do the same thing, every day while at work??
For me, I never know what I will be doing, unless a big job comes up and we are told about it a few days ahead of time.
I used to work for a company about 5 yrs ago, where I knew what I would be doing every day, because it was the same ole thing. Became very boring.
Now, when I go into work, I say to myself, "Well, it's either going to be chickens or feathers today!!!"

Your lucky. I do the same thing each and every day no matter what. I use to install AC's for Fox Service Company but I saw a dude get hurt pretty bad and I was almost hurt pretty bad because of some illegals on a job site so I hung up my tools. I am now in the accounting department for the state and have hated it since the day I put my tools away. Nine years I have been miserable. I do side work sometimes to make extra money and stuff. When I do I realize how much I miss working with my hands.
Go get you some chicken man.

i do the same thing every day, handling problems and dealing with issues... but the I never know what they might be and they are often quite challenging, so I guess I do something different every day.

As an electrician I came up in the trade doing new commercial construction. I knew where I was going most days. Each project would last a year or so. Then I started driving a service truck. 7 years of not knowing from day to day. Might be crawling in a residential attic or adding a 480v circuit in an industrial complex.
Today I come to the university every day, but each day is different. There is no telling what kind of challenge I will face on a given day. Also, I am now responsible for all of the HVACR and plumbing on campus as well as electric so although I know where I will be, I could be in any one of 42 bldgs. doing who knows what.
Honestly though most of my time is spent at my desk. I wouldn't trade this for going back to a service truck! no way!

I am a teacher, so it is the same thing everyday but I teach tech classes so it is different everyday. I can teach anything that has to do with tech. Some days we do worksheets and research. Some days we watch movies and then the kids have to research the movie and find out WHY we watched it . Usually it was a "first" time for something to happen. we watched chicken run because it was the first full feature claymation ever produced.

I also teach exploring careers. Sometimes like today they do worksheets and research. Sometimes we watch dirty jobs, duck dynasty(studying entreprenuership(sp?), or mythbusters. Just depends on how their behavior has been the last few days really.

                That defines my day.

Never know. I'm an oilfield hand. One day I may be rebuilding pumps and the next day on a plane oversees to give presentations. When I get back the boss may say "Lets go fishing for a few days." I like the variety.
