I've had great results just throwing down a bag or two of plain water softener pellets on the ground starting in the spring. The rain melts it into the ground and the deer keep eating/licking the dirt all year long. I also will throw some mineral stuff I get at Tractor Supply.

Wow I called about 15 different feed stores and havent had much luck. Where have y'all found these minerals? What prices?

Weimer has di Cal at $30
                  Trace mineral at $23
                  Salt at $6

Thats way more than what's posted above. Did prices go up that much?

I got the trace mineral at Standley's feed store in Madisonville.

The stock salt and nurtebeef mineral at Tractor Supply.

I do not remember what I paid.

In Texas finding Di cal is ls like winning the lottery. Bio-phos is just like Di cal. Works very well mineral salt. I also put granulated molasses in it. Deer and hogs love it. If you have lots of hogs like I do in s Texas just put a fence around it. Good luck.

I am currently trying this. It fits my low budget and I get it at Academy.
