I had zebra back straps for supper last night and finished what was left for lunch. If you did not know what you where eating you would think it was another steak. We have only eaten wild game for the last 10 years. Everything from water buffalo, red stag, black buck, white tail, and hogs

So far the best back strap to me has been the zebra. The best hamburger has been the black buck.
The water buffalo was okay but I want do another one

I attended a game warden convention a few years ago. There was an assortment of wild game. The zebra was by far the worst thing I tried. I might try beets again before I eat another zebra.

        Maybe, it wasn't cooked right.

The best piece of game I ever ate was one of these guys, in Zimbabwe.
I wish I would have known that. I threw this meat away.

I never could decide if I wanted to try the white meat or dark meat.

All I can say is you can tell the people that were in 4H and FFA stockshows raising animals and those that were not. I have absolutely no problem naming something and then grilling him up a few months later be it cow, goat, pig, zebra, and we have a couple horses right now that if it were up to me would be in the freezer or yote bait.

Lol! Preach on. Too many people reading Black Beauty cover to cover! That's how the slaughter houses got closed & the horse market tanked.

                          They still slaughter horses there.

Yep I agree, just because they are cute and have that majestic feely good thing about them they don't want them slaughtered, so now there is an over abundance of horses, donkey, and mules that you can't do anything with. I remember there was a guy that came by our house asking if we had any horses we wanted to sell, at the time we didn't but after talking to him he bought quite a few horses that were old, hurt, or had something wrong with them that he bought that were turned from expensive feed bag to something useful aka people food.
