For those of you that have tried horse, where??? Not something you hear about very often.

      Not against it, just curious.
      Mexico.
      They still slaughter horses there.

Most of Yall would be suprised to know that alot of leather is horse or mule hide. I've had two pair of Olathe cowboy boots made from mule.

The zebra=horse thing is what would turn me off

I was just wondering, guy was being genuine about eating it. At the same time there is a nurse at the hospital that eats balou (half formed duck in a shell) and loves it but I am not eating any of it.

I have eaten it in Africa. Ate as biltong(jerky) and steaks. It was great. I always like to at least try what I kill. Had mountain lion in January and it was one if the best. Meat is just muscle, nothing more than that.

I have a pair of horse hide Olathes. Good boots, you just have to be careful on those chilly mornings, they get a little broncy!

I would kill and eat zebra in a heartbeat! I love horses but I would have no problem eating one.

I guided a hunter that shot a zebra years ago and he didn't want the meat just the cape. We quartered it up and a hunting buddy and I took it home. I cooked some of the backstrap and it was pretty dang good but my wife couldn't get past the fact that she was eating a striped jackass so I gave the meat away.

I've heard from several people, that ate it in Africa, that it was the best meat they had, of all the African meats. None said it, but I got the impression that if they had some here, they would happily eat it again.

I have had it on many occasions, just like anything meat it all depends on how the animal expires and how it is cooked. It's not terrible but I wouldn't pick it over beef

Ive had it we were hunting on a friends ranch and a day Hunter killed one and just wanted the cape so we grilled it. It was pretty good not too different from beef no gamey taste.
