Commuting from Columbus, tx to Houston

We live in Katy now and are thinking of moving to Columbus, Tx. I work in Houston. Does anyone on the Green Screen do this? Right now my commute is 26 miles. Columbus will make it 78 miles. Is this crazy?

Robinhood and penetrator do it everyday. I use to commute to Austin from Columbus and now I commute to Victoria from Columbus.

I'm doing 37 going from Kingwood to Cleveland. Soon I will be doing Kingwood to Beaumont, about 89. Only reason why I won't move is the kids school and Momma's work. Won't be forever, just a couple years. If you can avoid doing it, I would recommend it

I have a car that gets good gas mileage. Im parking the truck for the weekends. The traffic doesn't bother me until fry road, which is what i face every day anyway.

not for me but to each his own. there is a ton of places i'd rather live than alvin but wont justify all the driving to and from work.

Years ago I worked with a guy that drove from Columbus to the Hobby Airport area (everyday) . Not sure how many miles that was, but life is too short to sit in Houston traffic. He got sick of the commute after about a Month and found a different job.

Here goes my 2 cents for what it's worth. 5 years ago my wife and I decided we would buy some acreage in Bellville strictly to get our kids out of Houston and to return to the country lifestyle we knew as children. I commute a minimum of 130 miles a day total X 4-5 days a week. I commute for maximum pay in my industry and to have my family in what I would consider a great community. It has certainly been a sacrifice, but I would do it again in a heartbeat and honestly I never get tired of the drive. I bought a toyota Yaris for the gas mileage (36) and fuel in my car cost me no more than $60/week. Yessir it's worth it to me!
