    Case Knife: info needed

So I inherited this knife, along with other knives and guns. I can't seem to find any information on it. It's marked Case XX 1990. It has a 10" blade and is 15" overall. The handle looks like antler, but I can't tell if it's real bone or fake. Does anyone have any information on it, know what this style of knife is called, or what the value is?

Get on either the Case Forum or the Case Web Site

and ask for the Case Historian. Used to be Shirley Boser, now one of her relatives (can't remember which). Anyhow. Case keep detailed records of every knife produced. How many, what kind, markings, etc. It's one of the reasons they are so collectible.

Looks like John Wilkes Booth had one on him when he killed Lincoln.

Here is a real old one, estimated at several thousand dollars:

Remember! It's Lisa Boser .... Either way, they are always willing to give you numbers on case knives. I've bothered them a bunch of times of my Seahorse Whittler Collection and manged to get production numbers on a hundred or so. Many of which were produced in numbers under 100. They don't mind, it's part of their job.

Looks like EdO has the best source on the knife's history.
