Can anybody tell me about a longbow? Its made by Alaska Peninsula Bow Company and its a Bruin Spirit. Its 64" long and 57# at 27". I've got one but its too much poundange for me, but don't know anything about it and couldn't find anything on the internet.

It might have been made by Mike Carroll. He used to live in Alaska and built bows but sold them through other companys.
I met him on a ranch in south Texas about 8 years ago. I think he was the first person that used carbon on the outside of the limbs instead of fiberglass. He did not build any production bows with it though.
The bow he had with him was the fastest stickbow I have ever seen. He told me it shot 212 fps and that was with 9 grins per inch arrow weight.
He lives in Abilene I think and builds custom homes now. He was a very nice guy and helped me with lots of advice in my own bow making.
