yeah it does - stinks and kills. don't use it if you have kids because the white color of the powder draws there attention.

I did pest control for years, use Acephate, the stuff that smells bad, on the active mounds then this spring when temps are consistently 65 or higher broadcast Advion Fire Ant Bait, or Extinguish Fire Ant Bait around the yard and re apply again in late August. It will greatly reduce the numbers the first year and pretty much eliminate them by the second except maybe around the property lines. Hope this helps.

Trazacide sp??? May be called spectracide now. You can get it in a water hose applicator type bottle. Works well on Mosquitos too. Spray the ant beds a little extra. My results are usually a pile of ants. Looks like brown sugar with all the dead ones on top of the ant bed.

Bayer fire ant powder in the blue container works good on mounds & doesn't have the smell.
