OT: Onion Plants??

How deep do you plant onions? All the way up to the base of the green of the stalk, just over the bulb itself or what?

Going to finish up getting stuff planted and would like to plant the onions correctly. All info is appreciated.

Are you planting 10/15's, multipliers?? 10/15's or large bulbs need to be planted @ 1 1/2" or just enough to completely cover the bulb. After the onion takes good root remove the dirt away from the bulb down to the base of roots being careful not to expose the roots system. With the dirt out of the way the bulb will increase in size more rapidly than if you left the dirt there.

I have no idea what I have. I have some red onions and white onions. They came in bundles at the feedstore. What's the difference between 10/15's and multipliers?
