    good book read!

well to start off Iam not a big fan of reading books what so ever! reading a ton of books throughout college put a bad taste in my mouth lol but the other day an older guy i work with was telling me about this book he had read. He said it was fascinating because it was about a professional hunter or PH in Africa in the 50's 60's and 70s who had hunted on 6 different continents and they were memours of his past hunts. well i found the book and Barnes and Nobles and paid 24 dollars for it and told myself better be a darn good book! well i started reading it and WOW! its one of them types of books where you cant stop reading and you better have your thumbs licked to turn the next page. Thats how awesome it is.

i really cant go into detail its just the type of book yall have to read,
the author of the book is PETER HATHAWAY CAPSTICK, there is a total of 12 books he has written and the one i had just read was called Death in the Tall Grass, for yall who havent read a book in a long time and want a good book that will keep you interested in it read that book! i promise all yall hunters will enjoy it.

This particular writer was and is the reason I started hunting Africa in 2008 and will continue to go back. Never had a desire to hunt there until I read just one of his books. There are a lot of good writers on Africa. I have 14 Africa hunting books on my shelves right now.

The more i read into his books the more my desire to hunt in Africa Becomes, when Capstick was talking about making a spear to hunt a one horned cape buffalo and all the practice he did before he took it , that was a funny part right there!

Capstick was one of the good ones! From a time when ya looked forward to receiving the next copy of Outdoor Life or Sports Afield or Argrosy! The stories back then were enough to lure many a hunter into saving up for a safari hunt or chasing big horn sheep in the Rockies.
