    +$20 an acre?

Well been on the hunt hard for a 3-4 man lease an seems like every where so far is $20 or more an acre!!! I told myself I refused to pay that but looks like even for just any deer lease let alone a trophy lease! I've killed plenty good deer thankfully but I'd like to have a lease I could frequent ,but for the price people are wanting for squirrel leases I'd be cheaper to go to Mexico twice an have the chance at a true trophy! I hate settling!

You still have plenty of time to find one...openings will be happening like wildfire over the next 2-4 months with the first half of money being due for a lot of places

The only leases available on the internet will probably be asking twice what they are worth. You may have more success later in the year in May. Or by putting out some ads in newspapers where you want to hunt.

Word of mouth leases are the best.

Rule of thumb is small acreage leases cost more per acres regardless if they are worth it or not.

Too much public bowhunting land in Texas to pay for a place.

I guess our $3 per acre lease seems dirt cheap then.

The best leases I've found have been word of mouth. $22/AC is not bad if it has good deer and a nice place to stay.

I'll just stick to the public land. I've had to many bad experiences with leasing hunting land. Very few honest and trustworthy land owners. Seems everyone worships the almighty dollar these days.
