You need.
Online receipt bar code sheet. (it has check list of all items you need to send in)
CHL 100 issued by your instructor
Photo ID holder (CHL6)
2 pass port photos
Bar code sheet from FAST finger printing
Only affidavits would be needed If you had a previous arrest that would need clarification for application.Last edited by smb250; 01-27-2013, 09:54 PM.

thanks guys for the responses ....WCB our instructor said that we could have them use our drivers lic. pic but then i again my check list says passport photos so i dunno?
Also i had two prior arrest one was a PI when i was 21 buddy and i were coming back from a dance hall in san angelo and we had been drinking i told him to get room instead of going back to the lease in robert lee but he insisted on going back well lo and behold we got stopped he got a dwi and i got a pi and since i didnt know anyone in the area that could pick me up i was arrested and i had to pay 300 dollar ticket.
The other time was also when i was young and dumb a couple of buddies and had been drinking and we decided to go ride 4 wheelers on the some dirt roads down from his house well we got pulled over by a dps officer and i got a dwi but i hired a very good lawyer and it got dropped competely... anyhow i just hope that it doesnt prevent me from getting my chl .... i mean i was never convicted of any class a or class b misd. so hopefully i will see sorry for the rant

You better make sure you write down ANY time you have been arrested on the CHL-78c form.... AND submit certified copies of all judgments and charging instruments from the courts or a record search indicating no record was found, for each Criminal History item listed above. Failure to report an arrest or conviction may result in denial or revocation of a license based solely on the material misstatement of fact in this application...
Depending on how long it's been since you were 21 you could be in the clear. I'm gonna say mine looked worse than yours.. And I still got my CHL.

(a) A person is eligible for a license to carry a concealed handgun if the person:
(8) has not, in the five years preceding the date of application, been convicted of a Class A or Class B misdemeanor or equivalent offense or of an offense under Section 42.01, Penal Code, or equivalent offense
If you were convicted of a class a or b misdemeanor you have to wait 5 years... Hypothetically speaking of course.
But you still need to send certified copies of each arrest on record is my understanding... Again hypothetically speaking...
