built my first duck blind. what yall think?

Built this blind to put on a property I've got permission to hunt on. My dad and my grandfather who to me are master carpenters helped me a lot. They build deer blinds so good I knew this blind would be no different.

If someone could please post the pics for me id appreciate it. U can pm me your number or email and I can send them to you.

Also, I'm going to paint it green. But how are you guys attaching brush on the blind. This will be going in timber next to a pond

Please make sure it is olive drab green and not the bright hunter or kelly green....

Depending on the surrounding vegetation, we just screw brush to the blind. Preferably red oak since it holds leaves so well. If its built in cat tails or weeds, run some chicken wire around the blind to tuck weeds into.

Looks good. Congrats on the blind. Now your work is cut for you. You have to make that thing look as natural as possible.

We wrap ours with chicken wire (or something similar i.e. goat fence/panneling etc.) and will either zip tie or you can actually just stick the brush through the fencing to make it stand up.
