Need computer help

Well, my background picture disappeared on my desktop when I dropped my mouse into my easy chair , and as I grabbed it something caused the backround to go black . All of my shortcut icons are still there but the screen is black with a thin, horizontal line across the middle about the size of fishing line. It looks like my background picture may be behind the black.

Anybody have an idea?

what operating system?

xp? vista? 7? 8? 9? mac?

if its xp right click and click properties (on the back ground)

any of the rest right click and click personalize. then you should see desktop back ground. is your picture there or is it just black? if it is just a black little picture then somehow you managed to adjust it when searching for the mouse.

if you know what picture your back ground was and where to find it on your computer you can just go right click it again and say set as desktop background.

you can also do the same for any pic on the internet. BUT, dont just do little thumb nails. click it and make it big then say set as desktop icon so you get the picture quality you would want.



If its mac, I cant help ya. I dont do mac. although I did finally get an Iphone and love it.

Windows 7, and right clicked and personalize and restored it. Then I loaded pic again. Fixed.
