Academy Game Winner Quad Pod - feedback and possible deal

A friend told me today he saw them at Academy with a sign that said 30% off. I think they were already marked down to $200 so it would be about about $140 for them. They are usually $300. Anyone have one? From what I saw on line it looks pretty good.

I asked last week when I was there. The 30% off was of f the $300. Making it $200.

That is usually on the display model only and you have to take it apart.

I saw the same thing last week. I read the reviews on their website, and they weren't real favorable. I'd probably grab one for $100 or so, but don't think I'll do the $199.

Worst purchase I ever made. I now only use the ladder and platform base on a wooden frame. Dont waste your money. Got rid of the chair too as it was way to loud and creaked on the metal base every time you moved around.

I actually bought the single seat one Friday. It was on sale for $99. Put it up today and it seemed really sturdy and well see about the hunting next weekend. It was rather a pain to set up and I even had my impact and wrenches and not the ones they give you. It took prob 2 hrs by myself but I work somewhat at my own pace.

I recently purchased one and decided to assemble it today. I read all the negative reviews online and nearly all of them were complaining about assembly. I will have to agree that the lack of directions is a real pain, but if you look at the picture on the front of the box you can get a basic idea of how things fit. Two of us worked on it for around 3.5 hours today and got everything together except for the legs and braces. I wanted to leave them off for transport purposes, but i would guess I'm looking at about another hour to finish assembly. Overall I really like the stand, and it's hard to beat for the price. I may do away with the seat and put a plywood floor down with regular office chairs instead.
