    Trail Cam Security

After having had my expensive trail cam stolen off the LBJ last season I am curious what folks are doing to secure your cameras..

If your building your own boxes the please post a photo..Particularly looking to secure my new I40.

Found these and they look pretty good...

I would never put a stand or a trail cam on public land over night. You are just asking for it to be stolen!

I don't think I would consider putting out an expensive camera on public land. Last year I saw where someone took the screw in steps, and ratchet straps from my friend's hang on stand. I believe the would have taken the stand too if not locked down. This was during the middle of the day after we came in for lunch.

Oh yea.. they also stole his scent wick too...

Not to mention ruined his afternoon hunt.

Cold people out there, if they want it... It will be stolen, or damaged.

would not advise to put on public land no matter how well you install it.

I obviously recognize the dangers of putting a trailcam on public land Won't be doing that again..They cut the tree just about in half to break my python lock..

I am curious if anyone has experience with securing their trail cam.. My families land where this camera is going has a grazing lease by one guy and the oil/gas company have access for the well..

Not planning to put one back out on public land but more for my land with people who might occasionally be on it.

          Thanks

I built these for my home brew's. Since I have started using electrical breaker boxes. I weld them to a T post and drive them into the ground. They are much harder to pull up. The breaker box has a built in tab for a lock. It is not a theft proof operation, but they have to really want it.
