    Hog feeder lights.

I'm looking to buy/build some feeder lights. Never hunted with any so wanted some tbh help on what's best. We will be bow hunting for them. I have looked Into the yard solar panel lights but don't know if there bright enough to be able to see and make a good shot I have a stabilizer light on its way but want lights on feeder so I can see them come in and tell what one is broad side and ready to shoot so I can draw back get close and turn on stabilizer light for better shot. Thanks
    Any pics would be great

Trust me on this--the solar lights work. I have them at 3 feeders and can sit as far as 125 yds away and still knock 'em out with a scoped rifle. One light isn't enough unless it is one of the $40 jobs from HD. Here's a pic of last year's setup--and I think I killed 15 or so at this feeder.

    Here's the HD light:

This is the EXACT rig I have and it works to perfection even on cloudy days. DO NOT let anyone BS you and say it doesn't work. It's cheap and it's reliable. I'm shooting hogs with only a lighted sight pin. It is critical to put it facing your feeder so that you are not shooting silhouttes but rather fully visible targets.

SO you have $200 worth of lights on that rig? Looks impressive.

I use solar spot lights from Walmart ($10), zip tie them to trees pointing them where I need the light. The batteries will last about 5-6 hours before they start getting dim. Easy to move around that way also.

It's always on and yes even on cloudy days. Now, I'll admit to never having tried to go hunt at 3 a.m. So, I don't know if they stay on all night. I doubt it. I have been sitting 'til dark and then up to 4 hours after dark and they stayed on. I like hunting this way anyhow so, it works for me.

Duckman, I'll repeat...the MOST CRITICAL thing about this set up is DO NOT attach to your feeder.

About 6'. An occasional raccoon will use them as a jungle gym and point them crazy so that they need to be readjusted.

I had set up almost like this, it was working really well except that I had em on for 5 mins duration. On cloudy days, sitting in rifle set up, it gets really dim then faded away by midnight or so until coon or squirrel chewed up the wires. Been using EWT ever since. I noticed that, since its not on all the time until I get there, I set it up under the coon cage under the feeder. Hogs aren't used to it. Either, I'm going have to set it up to run continuously with solar or get a set up like FND.

Fishndadio: I like your idea and Duckman49 also attest to it.... There was a certain K9Trainer and Big Iron selling me some fancy set up, but I believe "they were hoping to come up with a plan for me"...... oh and Blacksunshine was in on the patent of their set up. I am still awaiting the plans... Thanks..
