My son is in second grade now. The last two or three years his teachers have had their students keep a journal that they write in and draw in. It is always the highlight of my week to see his latest hunting or fishing picture. He finds a way to take every writing prompt and turn it into something about he and I hunting or fishing. There is nothing better.
