Anyone doing a Spring Bear hunt this year?

I know I'm a little late here, but I'm looking for a hunt for 3 for Black Bear.
I've been checking out every post on bear hunts I can find and have pulled up lots of good info from Keep. I've got it down to handful of outfitters from the Quinault Reserve in Washington to outfitters in Quebec (and everywhere in between), but would also like to look into other Outfitters I may have not stumbled upon quite yet.

    What I'm looking for?
    Bow hunt
Over Bait (since I believe this equals a higher success than spot-n-stalk.)
    Primitive camping/lodging ok
Meals included or not - doesn't matter.
Bear size is more important to me than color-phase
    Around $3K (or less)

I would suggest Duck Mountain Outfitters - Manitoba. They may be booked for this year ? If you are looking for Big Bears this is the place. I have hunted other places in Canada but for quality this is the best I know of. I have hunted there twice and Pope & Young Bears were killed the week I was there both times. They also have a ton of color phase bears. Check out there website and you will see what I mean.

We always use Northern Big Bear Outfitters. The guide is Sheldon Bang. He is amazing. My husband has been with him several times and I went with him the last time. The entire experience was amazing. The cabin is awesome, meals provided. Hunt over bait. It is beautiful up there. It is in northern Saskatchewan.
The last time we went, my husband shot the largest bear that had ever been taken out of that camp. Easily went Pope and Young. You will not regret the experience!!! Check him out online. If you have specific questions about him, you could pm my husband - j.shoot
        Good luck!!

You may want to check out Adrenaline Outfitters.

I think they have some openings for the first week of the season. They have a new deal for the first week where they charge a trophy fee if you shoot something (and they reduced the cost of the hunt.) I hunted with them last spring and am going back this June. I don't think they have a lot of color phase bears in their Eastern camp.

Good luck wherever you decide to go and be sure to report back.

          Kevin

Here is a couple Bears from DMO last year while I was there. The one on the left weighed 300# and mine weighed 430#.

I really enjoyed my New Brunswick bear hunt -
it's been about ten years, but we flew into Banghor, rented a suburban and drove up.

Great hunting and fishing when we were done.

Can't remember the name of the outfitter, maybe one of the others on here will chime in.....

We are going to NB Canada this June with big paw outfitters. Good fishing during the day and hunting in the evening. Should be a good trip.
