Gun show came to town the other day and I have been looking all over the place for a mini 14 and finally got lucky. I have never really cared for the feel of the ARs but wanted the benefit of the rapid fire for varmint hunting and the mini 14 was the answer. Only thing I dont care for is the scope mount but I guess it will have to grow on me. One question I do have is its a government issued model that says for government use only is it a rare gun and will it ever be worth anything or are they pretty common?

I think they are fairly common, that used to be the standard issue for all Texas Game Wardens and a few other agencies as well before they started issuing bushmaster m4's -
some of the government models were issued to dps,, reliable guns,, just not tack drivers for accuracy,,, handloading helps them a lotComment
