Nice way to get some business, eh guys? So which one of you created this story?

And since M-2 is still resting....... Read the information recieved from geico.....

GEICO canceled an automobile insurance policy because the policyholder works in the weapons industry?

Easy on Todd, he was recently exposed to noxious methane and it impacted his civil interaction with insurance agent skills

      Hi Todd!

Ask a widow how awful we are when we give her a claim from a life insurance policy, or a family who had their home destroyed by a fire, tornado, or hurricane. Ask someone who went to have surgery and could because they have insurance, I bet they would tell you it isnt awful. Are there flaws? for sure but all in all it's a pretty amazing thing.

I had a plumber rip me off one time, that industry sucks. I had to pay him $80 an hour which is such a ripoff, I mean he charges that much because he knows I don't have any other choice. The entire industry just sucks.
You are misinformed....our hourly rate is $152 an hour.....so we can afford the insurance that the laws require us to have to be in business.....so we can provide safe and clean drinking water and dispose of waste properly for the masses!

You seem to be one of those people that's bitter the law requires you to have insurance, or more specifically financial responsibility. Take a step back and think about how many lives would be financially ruined if it wasn't a requirement, and the trickle down effect that would have on the economy and the country.

I wish what I do for a living was required by law!

Dealing with a nice guy agent up front is all great until you have a claim. Then you have to deal with the a-hole adjuster who's job it is to pay out as little as possible.

Once a claim leaves the office of the agent there isn't much that can be done!

                The insurance industry is awful!
As an adjuster, I can tell you that is not even close! I can pay claims all day long and do. Print sign, and mail off a check. Just have to document why and for what. No issues. Now to deny a claim. It takes a very detailed investigation and two levels of management before it can be denied.

I know this is not true with all company's. But we all know you get what you pay for. Most issues are from people not understanding or even reading what they purchased. Or the fact they think their 01 Chevy with 200000 miles on it is still worth 20k because they changed their oil on time, and parked it in a covered garage.

How many of you have " full coverage" what does it mean? Most people do not even read their declaration page. " all I know is I need some full coverage insurances for cheap" .......

too often people compare price, not coverages. How many post here stated the price of their policy? How many stated what coverages they have? Full coverage....... If all you know is the cost and you have full coverage you need to speak with your agent or another agent. I would do it before you need to know what " full coverage" covers on your policy.

What that cancel letter meant to me was someone got busted for lying on the insurance application. If they would of been honest on their intended use of the vehicle they would have purchased a policy that would cover them correctly.

Could be a lot of things. There are tons of industries that we won't insure, I have a fleet of school buses that we are canceling next year because liability claims are crazy so we as company decided to drop them all. There are specialty companies that deal with specific commercial risks.

Who knows he may be getting cancled because he didn't disclose his industry or because his business use changed. What if he's hauling explosives around?

I don't like GEICO but they aren't owned by the government, don't jump to conclusions on why its happening.

They aren't canceling his personal insurance, this is a commercial vehicle policy. Certain industries are riskier than others and pose different exposures for insurancecompanies.

Hold on there for a minute!! It is on the internet so it must be true......

Lol I love me some Farm Bureau. My bosses husband is on a board or something for them so she turned me onto them. They are down right awsome, cut my rates, and gave me more coverage all the while BS'ing about hunting and shooting.

I also know how they handle claims from someone at work that got their house broken into. It was extremely painless and fast. They have nothing but good to say about them also.

Another vote for Farm Bureau. My agent is cool as can be. Calls every once in a while just to see how things are going and chat about hunting. He got me the best coverage and the best rate I could find. He lowered my monthly bill over a $100 and increased my coverages from what I had with farmers.
