Those are some nice fish. Man is that the boat ramp at Siesta Shores? The lake looks really low. Do you know of any good local guides there? I used to know one there named Speedy Collete. But its been a while since I have been there.

Robert from the newer tackle shop in town. That dude knows how to fish. PM is you want more info, but he can be found with a quick google search: Robert's tackle Zapata tx
We had the whole place with 12 guys and it was $500 a night. You can stay as an individual for $45 a night and for $30 they will cook breakfast, make a sack lunch and cook dinner. It has a large living room and a pro poker table.
I hope y'all made Parsons pay his "fair share" of the bill.
I heard y'all were having a slow trip, but sounds like it turned around a little.
Nice! Did ya'll fish with jigs most of the time? I might make a trip torwards the end of February.
All our fish were caught on deep cranks. The 6xd was the main bait of choice. As the week went on the fish started moving up more. The jig bite will be good in two weeks after the next full moon.

Tony Cotney is from up here but guides down there during the winter. He hung with us most of the week. I got a picture from him yesterday of a 10.9 and an 8.

Dave figured them out first. We took a little of his money on the poker table but he got it back with his 35lb bag on Thursday. What I really wanted was some of the 10xd's he had in the boat. I think he was saving them for Amistad.
