    Pricing for a HF

What is a high fence running for now. I know there are variables but what should i expect on the high/low ends?

Not a ton of dozer work needed as far as clearing the fence lines.

Lst I heard it was about 12500 per mile. That was an inclusive price.

Down where Im at in South Texas, there are some crews that will do it for about $6000 a mile. That was for minimal clearing. That was mainly just the material and labor.

Oh yeah, it's Deep South Texas. Steel is a lot more than it used to be.

$12K to $20K a mile depending on terrain, removal of old fence and water gaps.

Perimeter fencing with out a lot of bracing and turns. $4-$4.50 linear foot. (Not rocky)

Deer pens with tons of bracing and gates upwards of $8 a linear foot. Not including Dozer work.

This is pretty darn accurate. We prefer galvanized pipe and t-posts, so it might even be a bit higher ($4.75). You can save a little using drill stem, but then it looks like you used drill stem.

If they have to drill a bunch of holes (rocky ground), you can end up paying a fair bit more due to additional time and equipment. Some fence companies are also requesting the ability to stay on-site or pay extra for hotels. Lot's of demand right now for quality fence crews.

I was about to croak on the 6k figures due to fires two years ago we had to replace two miles of 6 strand with t posts pipe braces and big cedar poles every two t posts and it was 10 k a mile. Substantial dozed work was needed though

In our part of the world (Brown, Coleman, Commanche) expect the higher end with the rocks. We did galvanized and high quality wire several years ago. We got a bi on the new place we bought and its about $18 to $20k a mile.
