    When do the horns fall......

When do the horns drop in West Texas, I was out in Terrell county and pretty much everything still had horns, even the mule deer....rancher said to look around the water holes on the 6400 acres, thats where he finds them at...just did not say when...

I was out yesterday in Upton county and found ten sheds - mostly whitetail, but also found one mule deer shed. I also saw two mule deer that still had their antlers.

They are falling now. Last week I had deer with one side gone and this week I have seen no bucks with antlers. I guess the time has come for it to take place up here in Western North Texas.

Most of the bucks we saw this past weekend had lost their horns. We looked, but couldn't find any sheds. Guess they are being secretive about where they drop 'em.

usually every time they play Kansas! really it should be starting now, and at least be over by Turkey season.

Hey Howard, I was in Mason this weekend also. The bucks in all of my trail cam pics from Saturday morning had horns but I found one drop right outside of one of the feeder pens.

There are some with horns and some without in Sutton County, and Uvalde.
