I'm looking at either building a cabin on stilts or placing a portable building on stilts. I don't have any experience with stilt homes. Can anybody point me in the direction of some information? Anybody with experience? Thanks for any input

I set moduler homes on them sometimes and some are frame on, and some are frame off, some are metal pipes 10", some are wood 12"x12". Usually 12' up, some are 15' up. What do you need to know? -
Cabin on stilts?
How do you calculate the number and size of stilts you need? Anybody know a contractor that does this type of thing? Approximate cost? Common problems and pitfalls to avoid would be awesomeComment
