    Tire Help

Will 285 65 R18 fit without any modifications to my truck?

    2010 Chevy Z71 4 door stock tire is 265 65 R18

I have a leveling kit on the way but I found a now or never deal on the tires I want and I would have to get them installed today... before I put the leveling kit on.

Will they rub so bad I can't drive on them or will they be fine. I will only have to drive about 200 miles on them before the leveling kit gets installed.

    Thanks

You will be fine, for sure with the leveling kit. I have 285 75 r16 on my 2000 silverado and no rub or anything. Had to do some convincing at discount for them to actually do it though.

I've had 285's on the front of this type of truck in the past. Always had a leveling kit so I can't speak from experience. My thoughts are that you will be rolling the dice. It may be okay but you probably won't be making any sharp turns.

That's my thoughts as well, I know I'm good with the leveling kit but I'm thinking I might be rolling the dice here.

Anybody currently running 285/65/18 on a stock Z71?

They are just a little over an inch taller and an inch wider. The only spot that they would more than likely rub ( if they do) is on the fender flap where the emergency brake is. I use to work at the tire shop for Sam's Club back in my college days and I think they will fit. Hope they work out for you.

Go on discount tires website and put in your specifics. It will tell you whether they will fit.

I bet you will be fine for the time being.

On the old man tan yota I am running one size taller and wider and have no leveler, just stock.

You could run 315's pansy. That's a different body style

                  Yes they'll fit

Update... They don't rub. Gonna look great with the leveling kit.

Leveling kit is on, now I wish I would have gone bigger on the tires.
