I'm headed to C Stat this coming weekend to see my younger brother for his birthday.

We never get to see him on his bday now that he's in aggieland

Anyways....looking for ideas on a good place to take him for a bday dinner

Sodolaks Beefmaster Steakhouse is pretty good. HUGE portions and good food for good prices.

Sodolaks, casa rod, longhorn, those are all local and very good but all the chains on university are good choices....o yea and wings and more

Drive over to Snook to the original Sodalaks and eat the chicken fried bacon.

Drive over to Somerville, I can't remeber the name but they have a steakhouse that's pretty good and some giant portions.

Closed down for a while. Reopened as something else, not sure if it is any good.

Cafe Eccell is my favorite, it's at the corner of Welborn and Curch St. Behind the north gate district. If you want to spend a bit more the Republic steakhouse is great.

You have to drive a long way to find a restaurant on the same level with the Republic. Like I said its expensive but I'd put it on par with the best restraints anywhere.

Pretty good whiskey selection too. The republic is a snazzy place but if you want a more relaxed atmosphere sodalaks is the place.
