Ok duck guys I need some help.

I found a nice spot on A river. Since I am new to duck hunting I need some suggestions on how to set up on a river. I know a lot of how they fly is due to the wind. So with that said. Let me paint you a mental pic.

The river has a bend in it that runs south to north. At that bend there is a feeder creek that comes in on the south side. When I scouted the spot the ducks were held up in the middle of the bend about 50 yards from the feeder creek.

How woul you set up to hunt this?

Draw us a picture and we can tell you exactly. They don't fly according to wind direction. They line up for the approach in preparation to land into the wind.

Set up where the ducks were rafted. There is a reason they were there.

Are there any sloughs accessible from the river? The only time I set up on the river is if the sloughs are frozen over, which is hardly ever.
