While in Academy yesterday I asked if they got any AR's in? The guy told me they came in all week but were not put out on display. He said every morning before they opened people gathered out side for 1st dibs on the AR's. One at a time was allowed to view the rifles in the back. He said they were all gone by 8:30. Prices are still the same as before

They are putting them out but people buy them before they can even get the boxes unpackaged.

The price hiking is ridiculous. Glad I have what I need. Just look at the classifieds on here for examples

Talked to a guy at the Academy in Sherman and he said the same thing. Manager comes outside at 7:55am and asks the first guy in line if he wants one of the AR's they got in the day before and then so on til they're gone. He also said that they aren't allowed to give any info or a heads up on when to stand in line. He said they will be disciplined up to possible termination. Kinda sucks for anyone with a day job!

The local shop I use in Laredo has AK's now at 1695 and the cheapest AR is 2250. I bought my AK there 6 months ago for 350 and an SKS Norinco trade in.

Academy is doing the best they can with controlling the mobs. I've noticed the Windhams have gone up $200, but nothing else. I'll continue to trade with them for sure.

Yep, People are camping out at 3am like it was a black friday sale for the ar's at academy. Its not a bad job thouh. Spend a few hours in line for a $900 AR and then flip it for 1500-2000. Not a bad hourly wage!
