Duck ID please?

This duck landed in front of me while on stand. I'm not much of a duck hunter but for some reason I got ducks everywhere.

Hooded merganser-you can hunt them, not very good tablefare and they don't count against your daily bag limit of ducks.

Also, you have Marfa type lights or ghosts in the second picture.

Yup. I would be more concerned about my impending doom than the ducks, if I were you.

Mergansers are great on the wall, one of the prettiest ducks there is.

I would mount that sucker! Then mount some wood ducks too!
. Then run from the ghost lights.

If you decide to take a few wood ducks, just make sure you're way away from the feeder.

Kewl , thanks for the ID....I'm gonna get some of those wood ducks mounted. Those lights are reflective tape I put on the barbwire fence. It makes it easier for guests to find the stand in the dark, that way I don't have to hold their hand.
