    Vortex strike fire

Does anyone have any experience with it? If so pros and cons. I'm debating on putting one on my ar but I'm not real sure of the whole 1x and just a dot in general(never had a dot scope before). Thanks

How far can you shoot with it accurately? How long does the battery last?

Inexpensive, it works, consider the red/green dot strike fire. You'll like it!

I looked at one awhile back and wasn't impressed. The lenses seem tinted and the sight was dark looking. I prefer the ACOG and had one for a time, but I'm just not a fan of lower power dot type sights.

That's what I'm afraid of. I like the idea of a dot but i like to be ale to adjust the power for further ranges too.

I am only shooting 50 to 100 yards. I am still on the original battery, but I do not shoot a lot. I have the red/green Strikefire.

How are you going to compare a strike fire to an acog? Lol the good thing about any scope on an ar is there is very little recoil to cause damage on the scope. Vortex has a lifetime warranty and a very good customer service department. I would definitely get the red/green if you plan on using it at night the red tens to be really bright and kind of blind you at night. Its definitely the best in its price range but as this will be your first holographic sight its a quality buy to see if you like this style of optics and will be able to resale quick when you want to upgrade to an EoTech or aimpoint.

That's why i was interested in it because i call alot at night. most my shots are under 100yrds and i use a green light. i like the idea of a red dot with the green light versus trying to focus on crosshairs for those fast shots.

I was thinking about putting one of these on a Smith & Wesson 15-22.
