Thanks for posting this although I'm not looking it could benefit a TBHer that might be. Considering the job is delivering construction material knowing some spanish is probably pretty important. I have been in a construction trade for almost 30 years. There is a lot of spanish spoken on job sites. You,(heck we), may not like it but it is our reality.
No tengo mucho espanol. Intiendo mas.

Yes, or you could require employees to speak ENGLISH to be hired. Then you wouldn't have to require anyone to speak spanish, which isn't our native language. Seems a little backwards in the world today to me.

Sorry to take away from your post, good luck and nice post for a TBH'er.

The problem is you can't make the contactors you are delivering to hire english speaking workers. If you can't get the delivery done due to a language barrier they will go to someone that can get it done. I'm all for anyone that lives here being able to speak english. The reality is that will probably never happen and if you want to compete in many fields of the construction industry being bilingual is a plus.

As long as they sign the delivery tag who cares. If your unloading in the wrong spot they will let you know in a slang-english sorta way.

Maybe you should supply Spanish lessons being you are want bi-lingual. I've worked in areas where Spanish is the dominant language, but this is America and English is the language here !
