I tried to convince my friend not to join one of those things to sell phones/cable/sattelite/etc. He wouldn't listen. He even recruited 3 of his family members.

Then he didn't try past week 2.

His "friend" had caught him at a time when he was unemployed for 10 months and gave him pipe dreams of how much money he was making.

These are good for one thing.....tax write-offs! She would have a business and she can expense $0.55 per mile and write off many purchases (phone bill, internet, groceries for "product parties", you name it. Really helps. I paid $258 to become a distributor of a health drink and its saving me in my taxes this year big time!

Let her do it but let her know up front that this will be a good lesson for one of you on trusting the other!

There will be no need for "I told you so" later.

My wife wanted to do it. I said no. Our friends wives did it. They haven't made any money. It never got brought up again.

In this economy, not many people are going to pay $50.00 for a bottle of anything, except liquor.
Wise man once told me, "When times are good, the liquor store buisness is good. When times are bad, it's better."

If it sounds too good to be true, it isn't (true or good).

Well knowing she'd be ****** if I told her the truth, that she wasnt gonna make any money and she was just a pawn for an old lady in a pink car with too much blue eye shadow... I went along with it and supported her 100%... She did eventually fail. Never made any money at it but she was happy.

If you have 350-1000 to blow to make her happy. Hell it's worth it. Or better yet just tell her you'd take her to the jewelers and y'all could spend the money there instead... Whatever she says then just go with it.

You may have the weiner.... But she's got the bun... And hotdogs are a ton better than a lonely weenie.
That was deep. I'm gonna remember that one

Be supportive. There are people that make very good money at direct sales/multi-level marketing programs. It's like anything else, you get out of it what you put into it. My wife makes some extra money selling AdvoCare products. We were already using them, so she decided to become a rep. Made her investment back pretty quick and has some extra jack now and then.

I just can't imagine telling my wife she'd fail at something she wanted to try. Be supportive, and if she does fail then be supportive again. It's just money and I've spent a lot more on "huntin' stuff" than my wife spent on her initial investment. I say let her do it and give her the support she needs to be successful.

My wife and I sell AdvoCare as well. We are making my hunting money and she's making her shopping money. Plus we're paying both cars off early (bought in May and September 2011, will be paid off by Jan and May 2014 respectably). That way the only payment we HAVE to make is the house payment. So if she want to do it, I say go for it.

Come to think of it, my wife bought us into some kind of multi level marketing long distance phone service SEVERAL years ago. I better check on that, I may be wealthy now..

If she wants to get into a pyramid of anti aging and vitamins she should look int NuSkin.

My mom does it, really enjoys it, and is 46 years old and gorgeous like she was 20.
She has me and all the family on vitamins and can scan the caratanoids in our hands which are a direct indicative if your anti oxidants (what keeps you healthy) and all of our scans have been rising and healthy.

PM me if you want more info and go check out their stock if you don't believe me.
