    River otters in my pond?

So I come home today and go back to my ponds which are 70 yards behind my house looking to see if the ducks were eating the corn I put in them, to find an otter just swimming along the surface. That one goes under and as soon as it does another one pops up this one I got a pic of with my phone before it busted me. I talked to the game warden and he said they shouldn't stick around long but if they do and become a nuisance to call him and he would relocate them. I just thought this was cool and figured I'd share.

They're not so cool if you have spent good $$$ and stocked your pond. They travel from pond to pond and clean them out. I would ask them to leave asap.

Be casefully, he will clean out your pond if you have any fish and will burrow holes in your dam possbily causing it to fail. It is NOT against the law to trap and kill these things and they are a HUGE nuisance due to the above. If you have a SUper Combo, you are good to go because you need the furbearer endorsement to kill them.

Hey JohnS. I didn't have otters eat my fish, it was poachers climbing my fence and taking out all my 6# bass. I finally caught them and after a short talk under my gun barrel they left.

They will definitely leave.......once the open 24/7 fish buffet ends. If you like having a fish stocked pond and not a watering hole, better do something similar to the recommended above.
