What is the advantage of a sneaky feeder

This is probably a dumb question but why would a sneaky feeder remote help other than letting you program from your phone? I'm not against in any way sneaky feeders. I have been looking at them and can't figure out why they are so popular?

feeder throws and you have bunch of deer, hogs, javelinas, birds, whatever, come in and clean it all up and you want to throw more so you set it off with your iphone from the stand.

i don't have one but i'm sure this is the draw.

Yep. For me it's the ability to throw corn while hunting without getting out of the stand. On Christmas day I was hunting and the deer had cleaned up all the corn by 5:10pm and none if them were shooters. I took a chance and got out of my blind and set the feeder off and didn't notice any deer spooking. Within a couple of minutes I had several deer eating corn and then this guy came in. I sure wish I would have had a sneakyfeed because I could have easily been busted. Click image for larger version

I like the fact that I can set up to 8 or 10 different feed times, it keeps track of how much I am spending on corn and how much I throw on the ground. Really like the fact that I can set it off as soon as I get settled into the stand. It also allows you to stay away from your feeder more since you can change the feed times, feed amount, and how much battery is left from your iphone. I have two and love them...........

Wouldn't a basic remote controll be cheaper and easier?

You can change your feed times on the fly without having to get into your feed pen. It tells you battery life, when it last fed and when it feeds next. A remote can't do that

How far away can you be from your feeder to tell all these things?

Not a good quality one. I have The Timer and The Remote and they are almost $200 combined and you still can't do the things that you can do with the Sneaky Feed.

In addition, it also has an auxiliary output that you can control feeder lights or whatever else you may need.

Now if it could run off cows it would really be great. Darn cows are all around me right now.

                    I stand corrected thanks!

Does it work over cell service? Is there an extra fee? I have terrible cell service at the feeder.

No cell service is needed. The sneaky feed has wifi and your smartphone will sync with it.

I like them because it keeps others from jacking with your timers. I can also keep my throw time adjusted for daylight and dark without having to get any scent around the feeder. There are a lot of good reasons to justify buying them.
