    Days hunting

How many days do you spend out in the woods??? More so in hunting season, aka deer season. Do you get out as much as you like??? Or with gas prices, family and such, do you get booged down?? Wish I could spend more time, but I have other commiments. Brings to light, why the heck do we have to work? No work all play Ok nevermind, and no dinero

I will be spending less if inflation keeps going the way it is...Typically 30-40 during the season and probably 20-30 during the off season for turkey and pigs.

30 days???WOW!!! I would be killed if I was gone 30 days in the field. The kicker to my situation is my 2 daughters have birthdays in Oct and Nov. What were we thinking???!!!

thats one of the advantages of being on call 24/7 but it does have disadvantages as well.......

Last year I spend every weekend but 2 out at the place from October to January. But, I was out there the whole week of Thanksgiving. Lots of time in the stand, but the worst year I'd ever had because fo the acorns!!

Work completely wrecked my season, I was only able to scrape by with 1 weekend bow hunt with buddies to Johnson Ranch, 1 weekend with my son to Junction and 1 weekend with daughter to our lease.

Dont exactly have a job that I can walk away from whenever I want, on call 24/7.

Maybe will be better this year.

46 hunts during deer season..all with bow except a few MLD hunts in late Jan and Feb.

                    3 hog hunts w/ bow

                    7 dove hunts.

                    5 duck hunts.

In years past the duck hunts and deer hunts would have been just the opposite.

Last season, I spent about 24 days hunting deer from October to December and another 6 in January and Bobby spent several more days than that. I also had a day of duck and hog hunting and another day for sandhill cranes. We usually spend the week of Thanksgiving and a week after Christmas at the lease.

During Spring Break this year, we will be hunting turkey, hogs and white bass fishing. I will spend between 8-10 days hunting turkey this year and Bobby will probably make a couple more trips. We will be hunting Africa for 7 days and I also have a gator hunt planned for September. Throw in numerous days for hog hunting and bowfishing and I'd say I spend about 60 days or so in the field. Bobby probably spent closer to 90 last year with his 2 week elk trip to Colorado. I'd say we are pretty lucky!

7 days last deer season. I have a new little one at home that consumes most of my time (by choice). I could leave the wife at home to take care of him like a lot of guys I know, but that just doesn't set well with me. I'm sure when the little gets a litte older I will have more opportunities to get into the woods.

Depends on who you ask? If you ask me - not near enough. If you ask my wife - way too many!
